SENS4ICE project was featured alongside with NASA and industry in the article entitled “How engineers are preventing icing on new types aircraft” written by Rob Coppinger for the Aerospace Testing International magazine.
The article addresses latest research and development in the field of aircraft icing. SENS4ICE is presented including ice detection technology development, icing wind tunnel testing and flight testing. The SENS4ICE coordinator Carsten Schwarz was interviewed and gave some insights into the challenges of the project.
All in all the article provides a good overview of the icing topic and its relevance from the perspective of aerospace testing.
