Are you a Master student of Physics or Meteorology interested in participating in an international flight test campaign in natural icing conditions? 

The Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IPA) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) is looking for an applicant, who in the scope of a master thesis, will perform the following tasks:

• characterization of the HSI and data evaluation of its measurements in atmospheric icing conditions
• integration of instruments on a research aircraft
• participation in the subsequent international flight campaign
• data evaluation for the assessment of the icing conditions encountered during the flight campaign

The flight test campaign will be performed in the framework of the SENS4ICE project.

Applications are welcome from English-speaking candidates of ongoing Master studies in Physics or Meteorology and with experience in programming and data analysis with python.

The six-month contract will be part time starting on the 1^st of February 2023.
