Very latest icing detection flight test results (on a preliminary basis) but also icing wind tunnel results will be presented at the 2nd SENS4ICE symposium.

This will be an integrated part of the SAE International Conference on Icing of Aircraft, Engines, and Structures that will be held on 20-23 June 2023 in Vienna, Austria.

Several conference sessions will be fully dedicated to the SENS4ICE project:

  • Wednesday, June 21, Environmental Icing Meteorology (SLD) and Ice Crystals: SENS4ICE Ice Detection Technologies, Part 1, 10:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 21, Environmental Icing Meteorology (SLD) and Ice Crystals: SENS4ICE Ice Detection Technologies, Part 2, 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 22, Environmental Icing Meteorology (SLD) and Ice Crystals: SENS4ICE Icing Wind Tunnel Testing, 8:00 a.m.
  • Thursday, June 22, Environmental Icing Meteorology (SLD) and Ice Crystals: SENS4ICE Atmospheric Physics and Meteorology, 10:00 a.m.

The latest programme of the conference can be consulted here.

Furthermore, SENS4ICE will be represented with an overview presentation in a special session devoted to "Horizon 2020: EU Collaborative Research & Innovation at CINEA: Safer Aviation in Icing Conditions", scheduled on Wednesday, June 21, 8:00 a.m.

The SAE Icing Conference will be an ideal framework for presenting and discussing the recent SENS4ICE project results with the global icing community including industry, research/academia and certification authority stakeholders. Many of the SENS4ICE partners will be represented personally and will be more than happy to welcome anyone interested in this event in Vienna!
