The SENS4ICE partners gathered on the 4th – 6th of February 2020 in Brussels to participate in the project progress meeting. Several members of the SENS4ICE Advisory Board joined the consortium on the 4th of February.

The aim of the meeting was to report on the progress made in the last six months of the project and discuss the future challenges such as development of sensors and preparation to the icing wind tunnel tests and flight tests. One of the important topics was also the certification requirements of the hybrid ice detection system. This discussion was very fruitful thanks to the participation of representatives from three certification agencies members of the project Advisory Board i.e. European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC).
