We let you discover the paper entitled “Icing Conditions Predictions using FBGS” by Miguel González del Val, Malte Frovel, Julio Mora Nogués Paloma García Gallego from Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA).

The paper exposes the results of the investigations on the Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors performance as an Flight Icing Detection System that predicts the conditions of an icing cloud. To conclude, a good correlation has been observed between the theoretical calculations and the results obtained in the icing wind tunnel tests.
