The workshop “Drops & Ice Crystals: Industry & Academia Meet” took place on the 18th of December 2019 at the UCL in London.

One of the consortium partners, AeroTex, introduced the SENS4ICE project to the workshop participants.

The objective of the workshop was to discuss latest developments, requirements and potential industrial/academic partnering on icing physics. It was organised by Prof. Manish Tiwari and Prof. Frank Smith, University College London. Around 40 people attended the event. Most of the participants came from academia (from PhD’s and early stage researchers through to Professors covering, icing physics and surface science) but also industry (aircraft primes, tier one suppliers and consultancies). The workshop is expected to be organised annually.
