The consortium partner Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA) presents the overview of SENS4ICE at two events:

• Spanish Icing Platform Conference – Facing the Ice Issue: Science and Industry Advancing together that took place virtually on the 24th of March. This presentation highlights the progress made in the development of one of the project sensors called Fiber Optic Detector (FOD in short);
• 10th European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation that will take place on 14-15 April 2021 in Malaga, Spain. This presentation highlights the progress made in the development of one of the project sensors called Fiber Optic Detector (FOD in short) and the results of the icing wind tunnel tests performed at the National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada.

Both presentations will be shortly available on the project website.

What is more, the results of SENS4ICE will be showcased at the upcoming SAE International AC-9C Committee meeting that will be held virtually on 19-23 April 2021.

Two presentations are planned on Thursday 22nd of April 2021:

• “Collins IWT Capabilities and Icing Characterization” given by Matthew Hamman and El Hassan Ridouane from Collins Aerospace;
• “Measurements of Appendix O conditions in IWT using scientific airborne instrumentation” given by Johannes Lucke from German Aerospace Center (DLR).
